Lapland Ice Driving & Planete Urgence
Since 2008, Laponie Ice Driving has been committed to helping the Association Planète Urgence protect the environment.
This year, we have decided to strengthen our contribution as a sponsor by developing the “LID FOREST”.
It emphasizes our desire to set an example and demonstrates
our commitment to a sustainable planet.
LID FOREST is part of the TAPIA project in Madagascar which consists
in restoring the ecosystem through the reforestation of various species,
the development of sustainable production of wild silkworms (of which tapia is the habitat) and honey.
No fewer than 10,000 trees will be planted each year.
This project completes all the actions carried out by Lapland Ice Driving for several years
in terms of environmental impact:
– use of wooden, not plastic, stakes on the lake,
– printed on FSC or PEFC paper by printers labeled “Imprim’vert”,
– selective waste sorting,
